Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse PD 3 Float for Chicago-area sites including Chicago, Evanston and Highland Park. This per diem role offers shifts 7a-7p or 7p-7a with a per diem level 3 schedule (111-144 hours every 6 weeks).

The successful candidate will have at least one year of staff nurse experience, be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold Illinois RN licensure, and possess CPR certification. ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required within six months depending on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
• Current Illinois Nursing licensure.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
• Maintains competency reflective of current standards practice.
• Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
• Integrates evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
• Recognizes and adjusts to situations that vary from the norm.
