Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a per diem Inpatient RN for GP2, a 24-bed advanced acute care unit. The role offers market-leading pay and up to a $7 shift differential for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Flex position requires a minimum of 24 hours every 4 weeks, including at least eight weekend/holiday shifts per schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required).

Responsibilities

• Assess plans, organize, perform, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs. Promote safety and maximize patient satisfaction.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
• Formulate, coordinate, and provide plan of care with education and discharge planning.
• Provide direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies per policy.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise plan of care based on patient response.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to resolve patient needs.
• Troubleshoot and manage equipment care.
• Participate in unit-based decision-making and quality/safety education programs.
