Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for per diem status. The role involves performing diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures across all patient ages, initiating and maintaining mechanical ventilation, and responding to emergent care.

A NJ-licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner with NBRC registration, BLS, and current PALS (and NRP where applicable) is required. Salary is provided at competitive base rates, with potential for clinical certification pay

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved one (1) year Program in Respiratory Therapy.
• Licensed by the State of New Jersey Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC.
• Demonstrated competency in all procedures within scope of practice for the ages served.
• Demonstrated competency in care for Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric.
• BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
• PALS obtained within 30 days of start date; NRP certification for Neonatal ICU assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures as appropriate to patient ages.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation.
• Respond to emergent patient care.
