Job summary

Saint Peter’s Healthcare System in New Jersey is seeking a Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures across patient ages. The role includes initiating and maintaining mechanical ventilation and responding to emergent patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

The candidate must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in New Jersey, hold NBRC CRT, and maintain BLS with PALS within 30 days of start; NRP may be required for NICU

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved one (1) year Program in Respiratory Therapy.
• Licensed by the State of New Jersey Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by NBRC.
• Demonstrated competency in all procedures within scope of practice across patient ages.
• BLS Certification required; PALS obtained within 30 days of start date; NRP certification for NICU staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation. Respond to emergent patient care.
