Job summary

Saint Peter's University Hospital is seeking a Pulmonary Lab Respiratory Care Practitioner on a per diem basis. The role covers therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care, oxygen administration, and PFT testing for diverse age groups.

This position requires NJ licensure and NBRC RRT, with at least three years of experience, BLS, and PALS within 30 days. Competitive benefits and tuition programs are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of New Jersey Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC).
• Excellent judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to perform pulmonary function procedures for Pediatrics to Geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care.
• Administer oxygen therapy according to policy.
• Perform diagnostic tests appropriate to patient age groups.
• Maintain, evaluate and operate pulmonary function equipment.
• Respond to emergencies in hospital.
• Attend and participate in education and department meetings.
• Train/ supervise respiratory students and registry-eligible staff.
• Contribute to Quality Improvement in pulmonary areas.
