Job summary

Under medical direction, the RCP I performs respiratory therapies and pulmonary diagnostics as ordered, with responsibility for patient care planning, implementation and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current State RCP license required.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care.
• In the absence of a supervisor, may be designated Lead RCP with responsibility for the section or department during the shift.

Education

Current State RCP license

BLS certification

ACLS certification

PALS certification preferred

Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred

Associate or BS degree preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Two years acute care experience preferred
