Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner I for the Pulmonary department. This full-time, day-shift role involves performing respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician, with careful assessment and documentation of patient care.

Under medical direction, you may serve as Lead RCP during your shift and contribute to age-specific care planning and multidisciplinary collaboration across our acute-care hospital.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire and current.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire and current.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Assess, plan, implement and document care with age-specific considerations.
• Lead RCP on shift if supervisor is unavailable and oversee section during shift.
