Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a per diem Radiologic Technologist for the Navicent Health Medical Center Radiology department. This part-time role requires performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, documenting histories, and ensuring patient safety through identity verification and proper positioning.

Office duties include preparing contrast media and coordinating with radiologists. Must be ARRT‑recognized, registry eligible within a year, and BLS certified.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT‑recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire.
• BLS required.
• Ability to document patient history and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
