Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a part-time Radiology Technologist for the Navicent Health Medical Center - Radiology: Xray department. This per diem role supports radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with patient verification, contrast administration, and coordination with the Radiologist.

Requires ARRT-recognized education in Radiologic Technology and registry eligibility with completion within 1 year of hire; BLS is also required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an institution accredited by ARRT in Radiologic Technology.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
