Job Summary:
Public Safety Officers foster and maintain a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors across all St. John’s University campuses and branch properties. They report directly to Supervisors and do not manage a staff.
Essential Functions:
Competencies:
Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer service oriented, and willing to assist people in need. Certification in CPR or First Aid is required.
Work Environment:
Officers respond to routine and emergency calls for service in and around the University, operating in both professional office and outdoor environments.

Must work during emergencies and be able to perform duties outdoors during inclement weather.
Travel:
Officers may be required to work at any of the branch campuses within the US.
