Security Officer - Multiple Positions / Rotating Shifts - Full Time

At NewYork-Presbyterian, Security Officers do more than patrol facilities and campuses — they participate in meaningful stories. For example, one officer recently sensed a critical situation with a patient, repositioned himself to be in view of the patient's room, and alerted clinicians, leading to life-saving intervention. Protect patients, visitors, employees, and property across our medical and academic campuses by maintaining access control and responding to emergencies. Help sustain a lawful environment for lifesaving care.

Various shifts are available, including full-time days, evenings, nights, and per diem day and evening shifts with alternating weekends at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital in Bronxville.

Preferred Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree, at least two years of collegiate coursework in criminal justice or a related field, or prior military experience.
• One (1) year of security experience.
• Driver’s license.

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NYS Security Guard License.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work with computers.
• Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 90 days of starting, with renewal every two years.
