Job summary

North Beach Rehabilitation Center in North Miami Beach, Florida is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapy Assistant to join an interdisciplinary team and assist licensed physical therapists in delivering personalized rehabilitation programs. The role involves working with a diverse patient population, including those with injuries, surgeries, strokes, and chronic conditions, to improve strength and mobility.

Qualifications

• Pass Level 2 background screening via the Florida Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatment planning, and implementation of rehabilitation programs
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, including exercises, stretches, and activities designed to improve range of motion, strength, and flexibility
• Teach patients and their families proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and health promotion strategies
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols and adhering to all policies and procedures
