Page Health & Rehab Center in Fort Myers, FL seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the in-house subacute rehabilitation team on a per diem basis. The PTA will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality therapy aimed at improving mobility, strength, and independence for residents.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Prior experience in subacute rehabilitation or long-term care preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the rehabilitation team.
• Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Compassionate approach to resident care and recovery.
• Per diem candidates must be available to work consistent hours as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising PT.
• Assist residents with mobility, gait training, strengthening, balance, and functional activities.
• Document therapy services accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support residents’ plan of care and progress.
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapy techniques and safe movement strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive treatment environment.
• Uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
