Job summary

Centers-Health-Car in Deptford, NJ is actively seeking a per diem Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support our Skilled Nursing Facility. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, following the plan of care and assisting residents with exercises, stretches, and massage as needed.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, adherence to regulations, and collaboration with the rehab team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New Jersey PTA License.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage; assist residents in carrying out exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members and contribute to team effort.
