Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility at the Bronx Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Bronx, NY. The PTA will support the supervising PT, assist with exercises, stretching, massage, and documentation while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage; assist with exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality.
• Comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship with healthcare team members.
