Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a state-of-the-art Skilled Nursing Facility in Bronx, New York. The PTA will follow plans of care created by supervising therapists and support residents in exercises, stretching, and massage to improve function and independence.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited PTA program with a current NY PTA license, and enjoy flexible scheduling with weekly pay and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA Program.
• Current New York State PTA License.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques such as stretching and massage; assist with prescribed exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal and professional requirements.
• Maintain cooperation within the healthcare team and contribute to team effort.

Education
