Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Our team delivers compassionate rehab services and supports residents in achieving independence.

The PTA assists the supervising PT, records outcomes, and contributes to a confidential, compliant care environment. NY PTA license is required, with opportunity for mentorship, flexible schedules, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage, and assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members and contributes to team effort.
