Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility, located in Queensbury, New York. The team delivers rehab services through a state-of-the-art facility, supporting residents with PT, OT, and SLP services.

As a PTA, you will follow the plan of care, document progress, and assist residents with exercises, while enjoying mentorship, growth opportunities, and flexible scheduling in a collaborative clinical environment.

Qualifications

• A graduate of an accredited PTA Program.
• Current New York State PTA License.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document on resident performance.
• Treat residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage, assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.

Education
