Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab in Brooklyn, NY is actively seeking a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will join a compassionate team delivering rehabilitation services and assisting residents to regain independence.

The PTA will follow the supervising PT's plan of care, measure motor function, document progress, and support resident exercises while upholding confidentiality and regulatory standards. Flexible schedules and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license required.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with stretching, massage, and assist with exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and contribute to team effort.
