Job summary

Avir at Kirbyville in Kirbyville, TX seeks a Per Diem Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team. You will deliver prescribed PT interventions to residents, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, and help maintain a high standard of individualized care.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license as Physical Therapy Assistant in good standing.
• SNF/long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different personalities.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information to Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify the patient's plan of treatment with PT supervision.
• Measure and record patient's motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and modify treatment with IDT collaboration.
• Provide clinical education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation is thorough and compliant with regulations.
• Attend required meetings designated by the Director of Rehab.
