Job summary

Avir at Terrell in Terrell, TX is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team, delivering person-centered care to residents and working to achieve positive outcomes. You will administer prescribed therapies, collaborate with a Physical Therapist, and contribute to our program to improve function and quality of life.

Requirements include an active Texas PTA license and preferred SNF/long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• Active/Valid Texas license as Physical Therapy Assistant
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
• SNF/Long-term care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function
• Provide skilled physical therapy services under supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information to Physical Therapist
• Implement and modify the patient’s plan of treatment with PT supervision
• Measure and record patient’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment with IDT collaboration
• Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Ensure proper documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Attend meetings designated by the Director of Rehab
