Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) in Reno, NV, is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist for our NEW 22-bed Acute Rehab Hospital in Northwest Reno. You will evaluate and plan therapy, direct modalities, and administer treatment for adults recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, or trauma.

You must hold a current state Physical Therapy license and have at least 3 years of experience, plus current BLS.

Qualifications

• Current State Physical Therapy Licensure.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in all aspects of physical therapy, preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the therapy department staff, including assistants and aides.
• Evaluate treatment effect and recommend changes to physicians as needed.
• Perform assessments and reassessments for patients in acute rehab.
• Ensure documentation meets requirements and infection control standards.
• Participate in CQI activities and maintain quality of care.
