Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Per-diem Primary Care Physician to join Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center in Baltimore, MD. The physician provides medical assessments, urgent and routine care, and supervises treatment for chronic conditions in a correctional setting.

Work under the Site Medical Director, collaborate with the Health Services Administrator, and participate in credentialing and safety initiatives to improve patient care at the facility.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine Primary Care.
• Current DEA and CDS registrations.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred not required.
• Ability to pass credentialing and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical assessments and evaluations.
• Treat emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues.
• Provide and supervise medical treatment for chronic conditions.
• Participate in initiatives to prevent diseases and injuries in a correctional setting.
