Job summary

Mission Hospital McDowell in Marion, North Carolina, is seeking a Physical Therapist for PRN coverage. You will evaluate patients, design personalized therapy plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility and reduce pain.

You will collaborate with physicians and care teams, monitor progress, document outcomes, and educate patients and families on exercises and safety. Mentoring may be involved to support students and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy is required.
• Current North Carolina physical therapy license is required.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• New graduate eligible; clinical affiliations in acute care are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress and document outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safe practices.
• Collaborate across disciplines for cohesive care and smooth transitions.
• Mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding values.
