Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program (associate degree) approved by APTA.
• Approved as PTA by the California Physical Therapy Board.
• CPR certification is current.
• Valid California driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct physical therapy under direction of a licensed physical therapist and physician's plan of care.
• Treats patients to relieve pain and restore function.
• Aids patients in therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional activities.
• Uses modalities (heat, cold, ultrasound, massage, etc.) as directed.
• Documents clinical notes and progress within required timeframes.
• Collaborates with Home Care Team and participates in inservice education.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains attendance reliability.
