Job summary

Best Home Health Providers Inc. is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in patients' homes across the Bay Area. You will help patients recover, improve mobility, and return to activities they love.

This per-diem role runs on a visit basis at $95 per visit, with chances to convert to full-time based on performance. A California PTA license, CPR, and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Active PTA license from the Physical Therapy Board of California.
• Current CPR certification with AHA.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license, reliable insured vehicle, and willingness to travel to patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following each patient's care plan.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and the use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.
• Apply physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to relieve pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Document care accurately and on time, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services
