Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire and maintained current.
• Minimum of two years of clinical laboratory experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for blood draws, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
• Draw blood from patients using venipuncture or capillary puncture and properly label specimens.
• Transport specimens to the laboratory and ensure proper processing and storage.
• Adhere to quality control and safety protocols to maintain specimen integrity and accurate test results.
• Maintain and calibrate phlebotomy equipment and supplies; ensure proper sanitation.
• Perform more complex phlebotomy procedures as required with minimal supervision.
