Job summary

Health First is seeking a phlebotomy technician to support laboratory testing through timely specimen collection. You will interact with patients with courtesy, prepare specimens for analysis, and ensure accurate labeling and processing across shifts.

The role requires phlebotomy training, national certification, and BLS, with at least two years in venipuncture or specimen processing. Per diem schedule and variable shifts accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a phlebotomy certificate.
• National Phlebotomy Certification.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Two years venipuncture or lab specimen processing experience.
• Strong computer skills and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, accurate specimen collection and preparation for lab testing.
• Ensure courteous, professional interaction with customers and patients.
• Adhere to Health First policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain proper scheduling, coverage, and shift adjustments as needed.
• Assist with data collection and reports on lab activity and performance.
