Responsibilities include maintaining specimen integrity, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with CLIA/ HIPAA guidelines. This role supports a patient mix from newborns to geriatrics in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Minimum one year of phlebotomy or medical terminology experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures for specimen collection.
• Handle clerical tasks: filing, LIS entry, scheduling, and result dissemination.
• Maintain specimen integrity and proper chain-of-custody for samples.
• Follow HIPAA and safety guidelines at all times.
• Promote accurate labeling and documentation of specimens and test orders.
