Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Brick, NJ. This casual/per diem position offers flexible hours, with shifts Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays.

The role involves blood collection, specimen handling, data entry, and travel to additional sites as needed. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and a phlebotomy certification or training, or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience, with excellent customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or training completed
• Strong customer service skills
• Good written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Education

High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
