UC San Diego Health is seeking an outstanding Intern Pharmacist to join a highly successful Home Infusion Pharmacy team to work as a Per Diem Pharmacy Intern. This 3-4 year structured program builds skill sets and competencies with each year, and interns commit to remaining at UCSD for the full duration as students.

Interns are expected to work full time, 40 hours per week during the summer (at least 8 weeks) and at least every other weekend during the rest of the year, plus at least one major

Qualifications

• California Board of Pharmacy Intern Pharmacist License.
• Current UCSD Skaggs School of Pharmacy student.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service and counseling skills, ability to operate computer systems.
• Proven teaching skills and writing skills, which can be applied to article publication in hospital newsletter and professional journal.

Responsabilités

• Patient care management, medication review and prior authorization.
• Medication refill and filling orders.
• Equipment management and inventory management, phone triage and problem solving.
• IV Room duties including aseptic technique and chemotherapy preparation, handling of pre-mixed solutions.
