Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, a part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties handling prescriptions. Per Diem Pharmacists are temporary, intermittent employees, supporting Genoa Pharmacy locations in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, and Burlington, with shifts 8:00am–5:00pm.

Primary responsibilities include dispensing meds, advising customers on medication use, upholding state pharmacy laws, and administering immunizations where allowed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
Willing to cover shifts (M-F, 8–5) at multiple locations.
Current pharmacist license in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
Provides information to customers about medications and their use
Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties
