Job summary

Akumin Operating Corp. is seeking a PRN PET/CT Technologist to produce cross-sectional images for medical interpretation and ensure patient comfort and safety across multiple locations.

The candidate will interpret physician orders, select imaging parameters, and demonstrate flexibility to cover shifts at outpatient centers, mobile units, or hospital settings. Prior Nuclear Medicine/PET experience and licenses are required with strong patient communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine or Positron Emission Tomography by the NMTCB or Nuclear Medicine by the ARRT.
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety with pre-screening, aseptic technique, and radiation safety.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Communicate with customers and radiologists; maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Train new technologists and/or PC's.
• Troubleshoot the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment.
