Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN PETCT Technologist to produce high-quality PET/CT images for diagnostic interpretation. You will ensure patient safety, explain procedures, and put patients at ease across multiple facilities including freestanding centers and hospital settings.

Communication with physicians and staff is essential to deliver accurate, patient-centered imaging care. The role requires Nuclear Medicine or PET certification (NMTCB/ARRT), state licensure as needed, CPR, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine or PET by NMTCB or ARRT required.
• State license as required.
• CPR certification as applicable.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Pre-screen patients for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Communicate with patients, radiologists, and staff effectively.
• Address concerns and resolve conflicts using all communications channels.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality in handling patient information.
• Train new technologists and/or PC's.
• Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment.
