Job description

St. Luke's University Health Network, the region's largest, most established health system, a major teaching hospital, and one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals, is seeking a per diem Board Certified fellowship-trained Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dedicated team providing excellent care at the Network's first pediatric emergency department.

As a result of growth and investment in pediatric services, St. Luke's recently announced the establishment of St. Luke's Children's Hospital at the Bethlehem Campus. We are looking for providers excited about growth and new opportunities to join our team!

About the Department of Emergency Medicine and St. Luke's Children's Hospital:

  • Robust 14-campus network providing emergency care for over 320,000 patients annually across a diverse geographic area.
  • Includes comprehensive stroke centers, 4 PCI centers, a level 1 trauma center, a level 2 trauma center, and four level 4 trauma centers.
  • Supports and trains emergency medicine residents at two residencies: St. Luke's University Hospital Bethlehem (36 residents) and St. Luke's Anderson Campus (30 residents).
  • Features a 6-bed Pediatric Emergency Department within St. Luke's Children's Hospital, expanding to 11 beds upon ongoing construction completion.
  • Home to a renovated 17-bed Inpatient Pediatric Unit and an 8-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
  • Supported by a team of pediatric specialists in over 40 specialty areas, including surgery, GI, endocrinology, nephrology, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, psychiatry, pulmonology, radiology, anesthesia, orthopedics, and plastic surgery.
  • Lukes Pediatric Specialty Center, the region's first freestanding pediatric care building, opened in Spring 2022, offering convenient, pediatric-friendly, multidisciplinary services.
  • Extensive pediatric primary care offices across the service area.
  • Recently launched our first pediatric residency program with 6 residents annually.
