Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking a PCU RN for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. You will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care settings, assess patients, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer therapies, and collaborate with care teams.

Flexible scheduling lets you pick shifts that fit your life. Requirements include an active Virginia RN license, 2+ years PCU experience within the last 4 years, and current BLS/ACLS; vaccination or approved exemption is required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional facility-specific credentials may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
