Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Work options include 7a-7p or 7p-7a with per diem pay, daily and weekly pay options, and flexible scheduling.

Active Virginia RN license and 2+ years PCU experience required, plus BLS/ACLS and TB test within 12 months. Vaccination or exemption is needed. Join a locally owned staffing team with adaptable shifts and quick onboarding.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
