First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule with 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts and the freedom to pick the hours that fit your life.

We offer competitive per diem pay, daily/weekly pay options, and a locally owned staffing team with over 15 years in the area. No minimum weekly commitment—work as little as one shift per month if you prefer.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.
