Job summary
First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick the ones that fit your schedule.
Per diem pay is competitive, and you can choose your own schedule with daily or weekly pay options. We support hospital-based assignments and a responsive local staffing team.
Qualifications
- Active RN license (Virginia)
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
- AHA BLS current
- AHA ACLS current
- QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Following infection-control and patient-safety standards
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
- Adapting to different hospital units and environments
