First Choice Nurses is hiring PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Earn competitive per diem pay and pick the shifts that fit your life, with daily and weekly pay options.

Choose your own schedule—work as little as one shift per month and enjoy the freedom to control when you work. Shifts are available 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with hospital-based opportunities and responsive local support.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA).
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining electronic medical records.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
