Responsibilities

• Position, transfer and transport patients to and from departments by wheelchair, bed, or gurney.
• Equipment maintenance, cleaning or disinfection.
• Deliver and pick-up specimens, blood, medical equipment, medical records, medications, and various other items.
• Transport deceased patients to the morgue.
• Teaching and training functions, dispatching, and limited clerical duties for the transport function.
