Qualifications

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Ability to lift, push, pull at least 150 pounds.
• Ability to read and write Standard English.
• Ability to operate hospital transport equipment and devices.
• Strong safety awareness and patient-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Position, transfer and transport patients by wheelchair, bed or gurney.
• Deliver and pick up specimens, medical equipment, supplies and records.
• Transport deceased patients to the morgue.
• Perform limited clerical duties for the transport function.
