Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reception/front-desk practices and patient registration processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Windows-based office software applications.

Responsibilities

• Greet, direct, and register patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and provide general information per practice policies.
• Schedule appointments, tests, and referrals and obtain authorizations.
• Collect, verify, and update patient demographic and registration information.
• Complete and maintain patient consent forms and medical record documentation.
• Collect and post co-payments and patient balances.
• Check patients in and out efficiently and ensure a positive experience.
• Scan, index, and maintain documentation within electronic medical records.
• Support PCMH initiatives and practice workflows.
• Provide reception coverage, including rotating weekend and holiday schedules.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
