Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accepts orders for patient guest trays and collects payment.
• Administrates and prints reports per schedule.
• Answers room service calls and enters meal orders into the computer system.
• Assigns house diets to patients unable to participate in room service.
• Calculates and documents the calorie and protein consumption for patients on Nutrient Intake Studies.
• Completes diet histories and instructs patients on dietary restrictions.
• Coordinates call center processes with production and assists as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Food/Drug Interactions including insulin and allergens.
• Ensures patient information and meal counts are up to date.
• Enters patient preferences and allergies in the patient’s medical record.
• Expedites meal service honoring dietary modifications and preferences.
• Maintains a cheerful demeanor reflecting our healing culture.
• Visits patients to address missed meals and improve satisfaction.
