Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed clinicians. The role supports telehealth visits and coordinates with care teams using Epic and Vidyo.

We value compassionate, culturally aware care and strong teamwork. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with BLS certification expected on hire and the ability to lift 40–50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of patient safety risks and how to mitigate them.
• Respectful communication with patients and families; teamwork oriented.
• Understanding of diverse patient populations; effective communication.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with interprofessional team, patient, family and care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities as directed.
• Promotes a safe patient care environment.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for unit operations.
• Performs patient rounds; responds to call lights promptly.
• May serve as virtual safety associate as needed.
• May assist with telehealth exams and use of tech like Epic/Vidyo.
