Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Albert Einstein Medical Center / East Norriton location. The PCT provides direct and indirect patient care under supervision, collaborating with the clinical team to address physiological, emotional, and social needs.

Responsibilities include supporting telehealth encounters, ensuring a safe care environment, and maintaining supplies. Requires high school diploma and BLS; Epic and Vidyo are used for care coordination and virtual

Qualifications

Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs within an interprofessional team.
Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
Understanding of patient safety and diversity in care.
Communication skills for partnerships with patients and families.
BLS certification required upon hire (AHA).

Responsibilities

Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinicians.
Promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment.
Maintains supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations.
Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs, and responds to call lights promptly.
May support telehealth encounters and virtual safety processes.
May assist with clinical exams using peripheral devices and videoconferencing tools.
