Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Technician for per diem, part-time, day shift. Under RN/LPN supervision, you assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and support the care team in ambulatory surgery and hospital settings.

Responsibilities include hygiene, mobility, documentation, potential phlebotomy and EKGs if certified, patient education, and participation in safety and satisfaction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates basic patient care skills and standards.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• High school diploma or GED required; completed PCT/CNA program or RN exposure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, mobility).
• Take vital signs and document results; perform point-of-care testing.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Report changes in patient status to RN/LPN.
• Support patient safety and education; participate in satisfaction initiatives.
