Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center in the United States is seeking a Patient Care Technician on a per diem basis. The role offers market-leading pay with up to 3 shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends, and potential financial support up to $40,000 to help you become an RN.

Primary duties include ADLs, vital signs, specimen collection, turning and repositioning patients, and assisting with transport and care tasks under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program preferred.

Responsibilities

• ADLs: hygiene, toileting, mobility, meals.
• Collecting vital signs & daily weights; point of care testing.
• Turning & repositioning patients; dressing care; catheter removal.
• Dressing care; nasogastric tube removal; nasal swabs.
• Assists with transfers, and clerical tasks related to unit care.
