Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a per diem Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join the adult Medicine inpatient unit in Boston, MA. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, EKGs, and bedside care under licensed personnel.

Shift schedules include days, nights, and mandated weekend rotations. Eligible candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and may hold BLS or related certifications. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Understanding and following written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Measures and documents vital signs and performs point-of-care tasks.
• Assists with admissions, discharges, and patient transfers.
• Maintains clean, stocked patient rooms and reports equipment issues.
• Communicates with nursing staff promptly about patient care and condition.
