NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Mineola is seeking a Per Diem - Representative, Patient Access Services to handle registration and initial financial screening with patients and families. The role includes explaining financial responsibilities and collecting relevant information to support risk management and claims processing.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or GED, with CHAA preferred and 1–2 years in healthcare customer service.

Competenze

High School or GED required.
Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.
1-2 years customer service experience in healthcare or related setting.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Mansioni

Register patients and explain financial responsibilities clearly.
Complete pre-arrival, check-in, and registration; verify benefits and insurance.
Interview patients/guarantors to obtain financial screening information.
Collaborate with staff and payors to assist families with healthcare services.
Perform financial clearance for claim processing during registration.
Ensure patients are informed of required consents and collect co-pays/deductibles.
Investigate and resolve errors on daily worklists.
